The International Federation ISBHF has revealed a calendar of international events until 2023!

The International Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) has published a calendar of world championships for 2022 and 2023. In this extraordinary two-year schedule is reflected effort of ISBHF to offer international events to youngsters who have been most affected by the Covid pandemic.

“ISBHF hopes that everyone will remain safe and healthy in these difficult times. We appreciate your support of our sport and the understanding of the difficult decisions that ISBHF had to make for 2020 and 2021 actions in the context of the safety and health of all our members,” said George Gortsos, Chairman of ISBHF.

The ISBHF board unanimously agreed that, if the global health situation allows, the calendar of ISBHF events for 2022 and 2023 will be as follows:

2022

Men's & Women's World Cup - Canada, June

U20 Junior World Championships - Slovakia or alternative venue, players born 2002, 2003

U18 Junior World Championships - players born 2004, 2005

U16 Junior World Cup - Slovakia, first week in July, players born in 2006, 2007

U20 Junior World Cup (girls) - players born in 2002, 2003

Men's and Women's World Championships in Masters category - Czech Republic, September, category over 40 years of men (1982 and older), category of women over 35 years (1987 and older)

2023

Junior World Championships:

Juniors under 23 (players born 2000, 2001, 2002)

Juniors under 20 (players born 2003, 2004)

Juniors under 18 (players born 2005, 2006)

Junior World Cup:

Juniors (boys) under 16 (players of births 2007, 2008)

Juniors (girls) under 20 years (players of births 2003, 2004)

Masters Men's and Women's World Championships:

Men over 35 (1988 and older)

Women over 35 (1988 and older)

"ISBHF has decided that the Men's and Women's Masters Championships will take place every year. Starting in 2023, the format will alternate between the age of 35 (men and women) and over 45 (men and women),”reveals George Gortsos, President of the International Federation. "At the moment, the ISBHF has not gather enough interest to host a women's U23 tournament in 2023," adds Gortsos.

"The calendar for 2024 and beyond will be discussed at the ISBHF Annual Conference in 2021. On behalf of ISBHF, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and support in this period of uncertainty," concludes George Gortsos, President of the International Federation.
